A community management success story

WordAppeal recently accompanied leading professional events organiser, Reed MIDEM, in the implementation of its social media strategy for its property division.

The project included launching a blog, a LinkedIn profile and groups, a YouTube channel, and a Twitter account in just three months, ready for the live coverage of the MIPIM property trade fair in March. WordAppeal coordinated with various internal teams to put in place a community management strategy, offering editorial expertise and establishing a dialogue within relevant social networks.


Under the umbrella brand MIPIMWorld, Reed gained nearly 800 Twitter followers in a period of two months, culminating in the show week, where it gained over 100 followers and generated nearly 8,000 visits to the blog. During the exhibition, WordAppeal published more than 40 blog posts, including videos, presentations and opinion pieces from high-profile guest bloggers; conference videos on the YouTube channel totalled 12,000 views.


Reed MIDEM continues to reinforce its social network presence, enabling its customers to stay connected and making the networking opportunities it offers last all the way to the next show – MAPIC in November.
