12 years of digital and editorial support

It would be nearly impossible to list all the projects we’ve worked on over the last 12 years for LafargeHolcim, the global leader in the building materials industry. It’s much easier to indicate our main clients within the Group (LafargeHolcim’s global communications teams and the communication and marketing teams in France) and the major types of projects we’ve worked on together (editorial strategy and content creation, digital projects—such as websites, intranet, and ESN, social media management and monitoring, crisis management, and staffing teams on-site at LafargeHolcim. Some of our key projects:

1. Group website and intranet

Since 2005, we’ve worked on several graphic and editorial redesigns for the Group. The most recent are particularly noteworthy. In 2014, Lafarge adopted a new positioning: “Building Better Cities.” To reflect this new vision on the website, we created updated page templates, testimonials and rich and vivid project references. Here is a snapshot of the result:

This was followed by a website revamp in 2015 as a new site had to be created following the merger of Holcim and Lafarge. We helped LafargeHolcim manage the site launch, produced relevant content and integrated the site content. Due to the very tight timeline, we deployed a team of WordAppeal project managers to work on site at LafargeHolcim.

For the Group’s intranet site, we helped LafargeHolcim enhance their welcome screens (UX and design) using Google technology.

2. Group social media and crisis management

We provided support on the Group’s social media pages and ensured seamless coordination between different countries.

Managing communication crises has also been necessary due to the fact that the Group operates in several war-torn regions of the world. Our multilingual teams (French, English, Spanish and Arabic speakers) are available to help manage these crises 24/7 (with staff based in North America in addition to WordAppeal teams at LafargeHolcim sites in Paris and Zurich).

3. Ductal, Agilia, Lafarge France

We have designed and developed several “product” and “country” websites for the Group. One key project was the relaunch of Ductal. In addition to the website and media campaigns, we also notably designed “Archibox” for sending product samples to architects. In addition, WordAppeal created videos to enrich the website.

We’d like to thank the LafargeHolcim teams for this incredible partnership, in particular: Chris Wade, Neil McCrae, Yolaine Galhié, Kerstin Ribes-Lambertus, Alexandre Miletitch, Elisa Pahlawan, Maryse Lebrun, Anne Combaluzier, Marlene Oliviera, Elise Ginioux, Marie-Claire Thao, and Julien Lacheray.
